Why would a 24 year old female have circulation problems?

Why would a 24 year old female have circulation problems?

My daughter has been seen by quite a few doctors regarding what started as swelling of the hands and feet.  She was seen by Orthopedics, Rheumatologist and a Hematalogist and nothing came up. The swelling does come and go.  Last year she had to have a suspicious mole taken off her leg and after a few weeks, the stitches came apart and the wound has yet to be completely healed.  She has to use medicated band aids every day.  Her face has now started to break out terribly.  She has had every test known to man and nothing has come up.  The Hematologist has suggested she go back to see the Rheumatologist.  She is very frustrated at this point.  I am now in the process of getting all the tests that were performed on her and it is now my quest to get to the bottom of this problem.

Could Lyme disease cause this?  Could certain medications cause this?

Please, any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

lesoleil,

I can certainly understand the frustration that you are your daughter must be having at this time.

Your daughter's situation sounds to be something potentially rare or complicated. With the little information that you have posted, it doesn't sound as if this is related to circulatory problems; however, an echocardiogram would be able to insure that the functioning of the heart is normal. I would continue to work closely with your physicians as they attempt to understand what is causing her problems. If it seems that your physicians are running out of ideas, it is always reasonable to go to a large referral center that is in your area for another opinion.
