chest pains in teenage girl

My daughter is 16 years old. For the past few years she has had periodic
episodes of chest pain, difficulty breathing, and numbness and tingling
throughout her body. I've taken her to several doctors, including a
pediatric heart doctor, who have all said they can find no reason for her
problem. Her current pediatrician suggested a possible trachea problem
and gave us a nebulizer with a saline inhalant. This has helped her some
but not as much as I would like. I've tried researching probable
causes since I know these attacks are real. Can anyone help me? Are
these anxiety attacks? Are these symptoms of the heart valve problem
that I've read about where teenagers have dropped dead (usually during
athletics)??? I know there is a problem but no one seems to be able to
  help me.

Dear Lori,
Thank you for your question.  It certainly sounds as if your daughter has had quite a medical work-up with no solid answers.  Unfortunately I am not going to be able to provide any answers myself.  What I would suggest is that you gather all of you medical records and test results and then go to see an Adolescent Medicine specialist at the nearest University Medical Center.  He/she will be able to review everything with a fresh mindset and perhaps find some solutions to your problems.  Hope this helps.
