higher heart rate

I am 31 yeras old healthy man and a software consultant by profession. I am 6'1" tall and my weight is about 88 kg.
My average blood pressure has been 148/90. Recently I came blackout / flushing out feelings twice while working on 2 different dates. I immediately consulted the doctor who examined me. He said that my ECG was normal, BP level was 148/88 but my heart rate was 119.
He advised that I should take off from my job for a while and take rest for about 10 days.
Kindly advise whether I am suffering from anyn heart ailment and also the possible reasons for my flushing out.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to make a diagnosis just by symptoms alone (and over the internet). A complete history and physical examination in conjunction with appropriate diagnostic testing would be warranted to make an accurate diagnosis. There are a number of reasons that could be the result of your symptoms, some benign, and some not.  However, syncope (passing out) and/or a resting tachycardia are not normal occurrences and should be evaluated fully to ensure there is not something more serious that is going on.
