multifocal pvc's

I recently wore a event monitor for one month had 5 to 6 events of multifocal pvc's. I cant find anything about them in the forum unless they are also just considered pvc's. Im 38yrs old and very bothered by these like everyone else. Are they more concerning when they are multifocal? thanks and please dont scare me allie

Dear Allie, thank you for your question.  Multifocal PVC's can be worrisome in the setting of underlying heart disease, but in a young person like yourself, I suspect this is not a serious problem.  Since I don't know much about your medical history, I suggest that you speak with your cardiologist regarding the exact interpretation of your event monitor.
I hope you find this information useful.  Information provided in the heart forum is for general purposes only.  Only your physician can provide specific diagnoses and therapies. Please feel free to write back with additional questions.  Good luck!
