progesterone supps and pvc?

progesterone supps and pvc?

  Dear Doctors,
I started having frequent pvc's last summer. I started taking 600mg micronized progesterone in oil supplements for infertility. I took 200mg/tid. It was right around this time that these annoying pvc's started. My echo came out normal and I was prescribed inderol to take when the attacks became too bothersome. I have not taken the progesterone for the last two months and have noticed a drop in the pvc attacks. I have read a few articles lately on how progesterone supps can afftect a fetus's heart inutero and wondered if it could also affect mine. Any ideas? Thank you so much. Val

Dear Val,
Thank you for your question.  While there has not been a lot of research in this area many patients have reported an association between hormones and their PVC's.  Have you tried any other fertility drugs?
