Resolved HBV - HBV DNA still detectable?
I was reading on Quest website: http://www.questdiagnostics.com/testcenter/testguide.action?dc=CF_ViralHepatitis

I didn't know that people who resolved their HBV infection could still have low level persistent HBV DNA in their blood?

all hbv infection is correlated to cccdna inside cells, it takes a long time if not an intire life to clear cccdna (the hbv template) frm the cells so when you clear hbsag you only have immune balance between hbv/cccdna and immune system so that no big quantity of virions can be produced

in case of detactable hbvdna it is best to boost hbsab by zadaxin or hbv vaccine plus zadaxin, a high hbsab blocks hbv entry in to cells and hbvdna should go back to und

detactable hbvdna can also be a sign of accult hbv where hbsag has mutated
