adopting child that tested positive for Hep B and C
Hi, I am wondering if someone can help me sort this out. My husband and I are adopting a child from Ethiopia (5 years old) who has tested positive for both Hep B and C. I am a bit confused what his prognosis will be. From what I have read there is a chance that he will have no symptoms of either if he has a healthy diet and receives regular monitoring. Will he have to be on medication the rest of his life? I want to be prepared but I am having trouble anticipating what to expect exactly.
