Hope your doing well still Karen! Keep fighting!
Community care is who I'm fighting with. I have a secondary which is OEPIC - like Medicaid. I'm taking a different tactic. When I go into transplant hospital Wednesday, I'm gonna say 2 things.
1. Who's in charge of making sure I get rescue drugs?
2. I want to talk to them NOW.
I'm gonna take a hands off approach. It's their freaking job. (thank you Hector)
Mama's got her hmg n platelets up n she's going to clean house. Lol.
I'm not a huge fan of country music. I can be considered polite in most circumstances. My son-in-law gave me a new song: "Come on and kiss! Kiss this!" I've never heard the song and only know that line. But I LMBO every time he sings it to me now! Sry if that offends anyone. I'm really lol now. Karen (:o
What a rough road you have traversed. I am relieved you got some attention at the 11th hour. Eeegads. I wonder if you would reveal the name the company that refused to work with you with out making you go to extremes? What is your next move to insure no repetition? Libzo
Glad you are feeling better but sorry you had to go through this. Hiring an attorney is certainly an option. Your insurance company has not been very responsive to your needs or your doctor's recommendations. I believe that your insurance company is asserting its interest over yours and your doctor's.
Hey, being a vampire is all the rage these days with the younger crowd... your students will probably think it's the coolest, you're like their own version of True Blood and true courage!
Enjoy that extra oxygen and hemoglobin... whoo hoo for bodily fluids! lol
Wishing you undetected all the way.
TOO funny... for a few years, that "Can't Touch This" song was my husband's ringtone... my stepson and his friends even dubbed him "the Hammer." :)
I know, Karen... you're the female equivalent "Sister Sledge" (hammer).

glad to here you received the transfusions. you must be feeling much better with 4 more grams of hemoglobin. i think you must be a buddha, going through the side effects and being able to remain equanimous.

Your platelet count looks good. 41,000. Plenty of platelets. Yeah!
Week 12 is a critical milestone in treatment. We are all rooting for UND for you!!!
"Go with the funk, it is said
That if you can't groove to this then you probably are dead
So wave your hands in the air
Bust a few moves, run your fingers through your hair
This is it, for a winner
Dance to this and you're gonna get thinner
Move, slide your rump
Just for a minute let's all do the bump, bump, bump
Yeah... (You can't touch this)
Look, man (You can't touch this)
You better get hype, boy, because you know (You can't touch this)
Ring the bell, school's back in (You can't touch this) "
Hang in there!
Hector
Your story always gives me strength I haven't started treatment yet but I have been going through h*ll trying to get what I need to get started if it wasn't for your stories of strength,, and Hectors knowledge I wouldn't have raised the right kind of hell to get my mood stabilizer back before treatment which I am pretty sure from my last conversation with my psych nurse I'm gonna get Wednesday because they moved my appointment up from a month from now til then it took a few strongly worded fact back sentences! Haha strength from your stories facts from others on this site! Anyway I'm glad your feeling better and hope you get what you deserve! Happy thoughts coming at ya!
Love Cas
11.9 is pretty great, wonder how long it lasts. It should buy you some time to get the procrit. You will be on only riba and peg after week 12 right? That should help I hope. You have a great spirit. I feel like a whiner compared to what you're going through. It's nice knowing you Karen.
