SGPT beyond normal values

Hi!

I am 46 years old and had been treated with praziquantel for schistosomiasis last 12 March 2007. On 16 March 2007, just four days after treatment, I undergo a liver function test. Most results were within range and some showed that B1, B2 and Total bilirubin were 11.5 (normal 1.7-17.1), 5.3(normal 0-5.1) and 16.8(normal 1.7-20.5), respectively. Also my SGPT was 44.0 (normal 5-35U/L). Together with this lab exam were Anti-HBS (Reactive), HBSAG (non-reactive), and HCV-anti-hepaC (nonreactive).

After knowing that my B2 and SGPT were beyond normal values, I was given by my Doctor take carntine(Goodex) 3xday for a month.

Last 11 Apriil 2007, I underwent again another blood test to check my B2 and SGPT. Results showed that my B2 and SGPT were 1.9 (normal 0-5.1) and 55U/L (0=5-35U/L), respectively.

Basing on these information, I have the following questions to inquire:
1. Was the decreased of my B2 and the increased my SGPT were caused by taking Carntine?
2. Was the increased of my SGPT alarming?
3. If I will stop taking Carnitine, does it follow that my B2 will increase and my SGPT will decrease?

Good day, my dad took goodex too and it made his sgpt result go higher from 71 and the doctor told him to double dose it, and it became worse :( now its 91!! should he stop drinking the meds? did you stop taking the meds? did your result drop down?  pls let me know..
