Herpes? What is it?

by Lys07, Feb 17, 2008 01:13AM
Hello
I have a couple questions about some things that raise nervousness for myself. I shave down there quite often, sometimes every day, and recently i have had rough sex with my partner. Overnight, little bumps raised, myself assuming they were ingrown hairs or something, but they are painful and this has been about the 3 day that they are here. They look like pimples and i could see the hair follicle but they are not going away. I read that if you plucked out the ingrown hair it would heal faster and that is what i did but now they're just red and sort of scabing over. i am making an appointment to be tested, but i want to ask if this could be herpes or warts or something. My partner says he's clean and the one i had before that also was to. Could these be ingrown hairs, zits, an infection? Please help.

It doesn't sound like herpes. You have Folliculitis (sp)
