herpes type

by debbie82, Mar 03, 2009 06:09PM
I am very confuse about my last HSV test. It was a LabCorp Test and the results are

HSV 1 IgG 4.51      POSITIVE  (wich I already knew)
HSV 2 IgG 0.91      ( I am not sure if is negative 0.00- 0.91 or equivocal 0.91-1.09)

and then said

HSV, IgM I/II Combination  1.05 high  but is in the ration for equivocal 0.91-1.09

I have a sexual relation about a month ago and I am very concern.  My specilist said that this mean that I have HSV 2 .

Is that correct?

the igm test for herpes is a bad one and shouldn't have been drawn on you. since it's only been a month since you last had sex you'll need to wait and repeat your herpes blood test 4 months after the last time you had sex.
