is this ocular herpes ??

I have a question about ocular herpes..  I have diagonised with HSV1 8 months back.  I had one or max two cold sore outbreaks since then.  Today as soon as I wake up in morning I saw my left eye became red.  I donot have any swelling, watery discharge,  pain or foreign body sensation.  I am not sure whether its ocular herpes or not.  If its not what might be the reason for my red eye.  For past one week I have been sleeping only 4-5 hrs per day.  Does this mean its just due to eye strain?  If its strain, my both eyes should become red.  Thats the reson I am worried..

Many things can cause a red eye. Viral conjunctivitis is very common as are allergies.  If you are concerned, see your provider.
