Can liver disorder cause elevated CPK?

I'm a 27 yo male.  (Disregard the username--using a family member's).

Recently, I had blood work done and had a very high CPK, over 17,000.  I also have high AST/SGOT (102), ALT/SGPT (64), and T.BILI (1.6).  My mom is worried I may have a liver disorder.

My cholesterol numbers are also high: triglyceride is 173, LDL is 139.

I am not on any medications.  I do take protein shakes with my workouts, which are semi-regular (1-3 times every 1-2 weeks).  I may had a workout session a day or 2 prior to the blood test.

Your thoughts?

Thanks.

I found this on the internet but nothing that ties CPK with liver disease.

CPK levels are tested in the blood. A doctor or nurse will draw blood from the patient and send it off to the laboratory for testing. This test may be ordered up to three times a day for patients who are in the hospital. People who have recently consumed alcohol, aspirin or used the drug cocaine will almost certainly have increased levels of CPK. Other drugs that can cause the level to rise include: amphotericin B, ampicillin, anesthetics, blood thinners, clofibrate, dexamethasone and furosemide.

Sometimes athletes who are in training or on special diets will have high levels due to the stress they are putting their body under to compete.

A level above 250 is considered abnormal.

Hope this is of some help but I would definitely talk about your concerns with your doc.

Take care.
