blood clot on liver
My father (58 yrs) has a mildly enrlarged prostate which is normal for his age and a mild iron deficiency, but he had also been told by his doctor that they think there is a blood clot on the liver, I have never heard of such diagnosis, but the doctor said that he has to do further tests (MRI I assume). doc. said that this might be natural and a number of people are born with it?
I just want to know if any cases were cited as such, and what possible diagnosis for the case?
thank you

the doctor might be referring to a Hemangioma which is a benign tumor of tangled blood vessels that is often congenital. an MRI would be needed to make a definitive diagnosis.
