high alt

I recently had a blood test done and my ALT levels came back as 600
can someone please tell me what this means and how I can bring it
back down.  I have also recently had other abnormal test results with my
liver over the last year but cant understand what my doctor is telling me.

if you can't understand what you doctor is telling you, you don't have a good doctor.  you need to see a hepatologist that can explain things in a way you can understand.  this is important because the more knowledge you have about your problem, the easier it is for you to deal with emotionally and physically.  600 is an extremely high alt number.  what did the other numberss look like????  hat can help me give you a better answer.
