question in ref. to crestor

on drs. advice to stop taking crestor after having blood test. What could be wrong with me????

Statins can, in some patients, induce elevated liver enzymes. This could be the reason. This is something you should discuss with your doctor because there are differences of opinion as to the correct approach when statins appear to elevate enzymes. I also think your doctor owes you a more complete explanation as to what in your labs suggests that you should discontinue Crestor. In fact, I advise everyone to get a copy of all of their lab results and copies of all test results - untrasound, CT, MRI etc. It's your right to have copies and it makes it a lot easier to get second opinions when you possess all you medical records.

Good luck,
Mike
