ALT/SGPT High

ALT/SGPT High

Hello,
I had a physical done recently and everything came back in range except:

ALT/SGPT was 70 U/L (Ref. Range 10-44)

EOS% which was 6.8 (Ref. Range 0.0-6.0)

My cholesterol was: 134 (Ref. Range 100-200) MG/DL
Triglycerides: 58 (Ref. Range <200)
HDL :58
LDL: 64
CHOL/HDL RATIO:2.31

I'm male in my early 30's. Do not drink, or smoke and exercise most days. I recently cleaned up my diet. Before I went for the blood draw I drank a lot of water and exercised.

Any information on what could cause elevated ALT/SGPT would be much appreciated. About 7-8 years ago my ALT/SGPT was elevated and we repeated the test and it came back fine and had been fine for years. Now it's elevated again and I'm not sure why.

I'm repeating the test again in 2 weeks and my Doctor advised that if it comes back elevated again we could do a liver ultrasound. My doctor mentioned herbal supplements could throw it off. I was taking a multivitamin that did not contain any herbal supplements and I was also taking fish oil. I drink coffee daily but have since stopped. Is there any connection?/Anything I can do to help get the ALT/SGPT back into range? Any other tests needed?

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I appreciate any information.

it could be fatty liver or from taking herbal supplemsnts.  get an abdominal ultrasound if you have not already had one.  theae are definitely not concerning elevations.
