Liver Blood Test Results (GOT and GPT)

A recent blood test showed the following Hepatic Function results:

GOT 11 L (15-41)
GPT 37 (7-40)
Alk. Phosphatase 36 L (42-133)
Total Bilirubin .5 (.3-1.2)
Bilirubin, Direct .1 (0-.45)
Albumin 4.3 (3.4-5.1)
Total Protein 7.5 (6.1-7.9)

My primary care doctor was concerned about the ratio of GPT to GOT saying the numbers should be a little closer to one another. He wants to test again in 3 months and then refer me to a liver doctor if the numbers are still off.

My question is what is the concern for the number differential? And what could the numbers mean? Thanks for your help.

as long as the liver tests are within the normal range, the differential really does not make a difference.  These are all excellent numbers.
