my wife and I both have Hep C I took Peg intron and interferon treatment almost 10 years ago my last blood test shows my enzymes at 25 on the other hand my wife has never took any treatment and is now in prison where her blood test showed her enzymes to be 197 she comes up for parole in July we hope that she makes it so that she can get the help she needs how bad off is she and what kind of help should we get her

the enzymes levels are really not that important.  what's more important is the viral load and genotype with regard to potential response to future treatment.  she should also have testing, that might include a liver biopsy, to see if she has cirrhosis.  you should check your viral load also.
