tumor stabilty

How much does tumor stabilty play into the decision to get on the transplant list?  If Milan criteria is met, and one 3 cm tumor sucessfully treated and the other tumor small and non-growing over the past year, and all other labs and scans indicate there is not other cancer in the body, is there any reason to wait several months to see if the treated tumor will start growing again before being placed on the transplant list?

each HCC may genetically have its own behavior and some are more aggressive than others. In the NY region patients must be on waiting list 9-12 months typically before they can get transplanted so being placed on the waiting list is reasonable.  if patients can get a donor much quickly they can be followed expectantly.
