Hormone levels out of whack?

Hormone levels out of whack?

FSH level <0.7
TSH level 2.02

OB exam checked out healthy.  No outwards signs of changes internally.

Tubal three years ago following childbirth.  Two years of heavier than normal periods.  cycle every 28 days like clockwork; then last year they just stopped.  Had only 4 cycles in 2006; 2007 not much better.  One in Jan; one in April.  OB/GYN put me on 10 day round of provera to begin periods.

all other blood work came back in normal ranges.  Mood swings, hot flashes, cant sleep, irritable.  Up prozac to 40 mg from 20mg.  What in the world is happening to me.  I am 42.

It is hard to know without more information the cause of your symptoms. Since your FSH and TSH levels are low, it does not seem you are in perimenopause or that your symptoms are due to a thyroid problem.

You could ask your doctor to check and see if you have diabetes or low blood sugar which also causes mood swings, irritability, and poor sleep. Also, stress, other medications or increased androgen levels (testosterone, DHEA-S) and increased prolactin levels could lead to some of your problems.  Occasionally, a tubal will affect cycles because in cutting the tube, the blood vessels also get cut and affect hormone production from the ovaries.

It also makes sense to repeat the FSH. The most likely reason is perimenopause unless there is a significant stress in your life adding to the situation or possibly a substantial weight loss.
