Multiple Sclerosis Is Spelled Wrong!

Dear MS:

Shouldn't it be "scleroses" (not "sclerosis")? Geez, the least you could do it spell it correctly...

Love,
Your newest friend

** Sorry! I couldn't help myself. I'm a linguist, I was just diagnosed last week, and for some reason I am finding this sh!t hilarious (horrifyingly so)...

Surely you jest.

There are many on-line dictionaries to check your spelling theories.  The correct spelling for the condition is ...  multiple sclerosis.

The plural angle is valid, but the "sis"suffix indicates" afflicted with".  Greek.

Thanks for the Laughs!!!

You just made my bad pain day a heck of a lot easier -

I can relate to the whole spelling thing - you know I find I sometimes forget how to spell such simple words as "that" -
Oh well spelling and grammar have never been my forte' - oh sure I can spell that one.
Yes, and isn't it all puzzling

Hi and sorry about the Dx but welcome to the otherside, the disease su_cks but the people sure dont!

um dont hate me (well not yet anyway lol) but spelling, grammar etc are just a few more puzzle pieces missing from my little bag of tricks, the bag is getting pretty full so i'm pretty happy if I can string a coherant sentence together lol

Kid you not but whilst writing Christmas gift tags, I had to ask my husband of almost 20 years, how to spell his name, oh so pathetic but the look on his face was halarious (sp) rofl

Cheers.........JJ

Maybe we are all just pronouncing it wrong!  LOL

Welcome to the club - sorry you've become a member.  As for the hilarity - you might as well laugh because otherwise you will have to cry.  And tears will do no good.  But don't be surprised if the blues show up soon.  It is quite the roller coaster ride for our emotions.

Stick around and share more with us, ok?
