COMMENTS WELCOME AND NEEDED

.....I am having a lumbar puncture "spinal tap" done in the morning. I know that percentages say all should go well (and that's what I plan on happening) but I can't help but be a bit conserned because I have a bleeding disorder (Von Willebrands) and I know that adds some extra risk. Anyone out there had this done? How was it for u? Thanks

Spinal tap went great. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes.

My Dr. did forget about the bleeding disorder I had but because it does fluctuate and I have not had any abnormal bruises lately, I chose to go ahead and get it done anyways.

They also drew blood right after. Going to be tested for everything including Lyme and MS. A week or so for results. Hope we find an answer.

No problem driving home. Got my BIG coffee and snuggled on the couch. Time to rest.

I had one done a couple months ago for the first time and I have a HUGE needle phobia. Luckily the doctor doing it was very friendly, super funny, and helpful. You don't even feel it because of the numbing shot but it is uncomfortable. Overall though I imagined it to be worse than it was. Deffinetly take it easy the next day, I laid down most of the day just because if you are likely to get migranes you may get a really bad one if you don't lay down. Let me know how it goes and goodluck!!!!
