update

Went to have my 7 am EEG this am after only 4 hours of sleep as directed.  Clutzy me tripped getting out of the car as DH was getting my rollator "for safety". twisted right ankle , bruised several body parts, hit my head (again) and looked "oh so graceful"-NOT.

Anyway, went on to have EEG then Tysabri after 3 hours of off and on searching for a site. Finally asked for some pain med, even Advil for my worn out body. At least my left knee was protected by by brace from the ER.

It's always something......

Holy Stinking Moley Woman!

Rest that body of yours dear Rendean, you truly need to heal, and I'm sorry your only just healing from the last, only to happen all over again. Though this one seems to top the others.

Sending you gently hugs down south.

OK let's try again. Had a long response then clutzy me did something causing a new screen to come up and I lost the  post.

So, we've established I fell so ungracfully on the concrete in front of the hospital @ 6:45 am yesterday.  Originally thought I had caught my toe due to knee brace but as of last night my right ankle looked bruised , swollen and felt strained.

When I finally arrived at the MS center after my EEG, we had a long talk about a plan of action since this is infusion # 10. Still no JC antibodies. They drew many labs including one for tysabri neutralizing antibodies.

Yes,DH made every joke possible trying to get me out of the crying mode and it worked. From the girl in the bubble versus a bubble wrap wardrobe
putting me on a cushioned one piece jumpsuit, to JJ's sugestion of the rubber mats.

Made it to  the infusion room where it took 4 sticks to get an IV after so much scarring from the 4 previous hospitalizations which didn't bother me one iota just made the day longer.

Finally, the PA made an exception and let me have a shot of Toradol for all my boo-boos. Got home, took my meds and finally got comfy with ice packs, heating pads and meds.

Today when I reached for the phone my right shoulder decided to scream out in pain. Good thing I already have an ortho appt. tomorrow so we can figure out what is strained/sprained, torn or broken. The original appt. was to evaluate my left foot which my PT thinks is developing a stress fracture due to my altered gait due to my Achilles tendon issues from Cipro.

My right hand also has tendons that are sterected or otherwise injured from the original fall.  Actually, I told my PT that is her fault as she said the worst thing she could imagine was me on crutches and my poor balance. She jinxed me,lol Anyway, it's the rollator for now since I have partial weight-bearing on my left foot as well as my right ankle, can't use the crutches due to shoulder and balance issues.

So, I lay here taking my anti-inflammatories and pain meds until tomorrow. Nothing  like sleeping away the day and accomplishing absoulutely nothing for yet another day. Eyes too blurry from pain meds to read for long periods.

Thanks to one and all who sent feel better bruises and some humor. I will probably turn my rollator into the wheelchair mode and take advantage of some TLC.  DH is making a scumptious smelling spaghetti sauce, went for more wine for dinner, and is making dessert. Can't beat that!

Until then , I will don a "fragile do not touch sign" on me and have my DH and kids gingerly move me from from spot to spot, lol.

Ok end of novella.....

Seriously, have you considered getting fitted for a bubble wrap suit. I am so not sure you should be allowed to move an eyelash before the rollator is firmly in your hands, maybe add a rubber mat like they have at safe playgrounds, hubby can just run in front of you lol wouldn't that be a sight?

Just to make you feel better, my mum fell flat on her face out of her car, she looked like shed been hit by one lol and she has no excuses, um you do! Hope you feel ok and not too bashed about.

Hugs...........JJ

Good, I'm not the only klutz around here.  Seriously though, ouch!  You really do need a break from these nasty mishaps.  Hope you heal well from this latest episode, Ren.

Ren,

I have not had the long history of others here but you remind me of my Mom. She is always treating her body like it's a bumper car but always seems to have a sense of humor about herself. (I will be honest I suspect that is me in 20 years.)

Hang in there, I hope you feel better soon.

I have heard of having an EEG while sleeping, but never after a forced lack of sleep.  Why was that done?

Hope you get to feeling better soon!
