Thanks everyone! I started on Xyzal yesterday. It's an allergy pill...we'll see if it helps.
I did end up changing to avonex because the welts and pain and itching were too much to deal with, however, my neuro did tell me in the beginning to go to self inject (instead of auto) and premed with benadryl. maybe you could ask your neuro. It did help me a little for a while. Good Luck...:)
dont know if this will help u but it has me alot not more swelling or itching i just go alittle deeper on the injections and ice ur spots till u find the right depth i use 10 on my legs 8 on my hips & tummy and 6 1/2 to 7 on my arms
this took me 4 1/2 months to figger out that i wasnt a 4 1/2 to 6 on the injection sight i just wanted to scratch a hole in the sight then but not now at a deeper setting but first ask ur nuro about it ok well good luck being on the Copaxone train to wellness as i call my nightly auto injects lol bye for now
Don't give up on the copax yet - but we have quite a few people here that experience this itching as well. Fortunately, my Copaxone doesn't bother me .I'm sure someone here will come through and give you some other tips.
And yes, there are a few people here who had to give up on the copaxone because of the itching.
Good luck with getting it under control.
be well,
Lulu
