Was hoping to have a calmer week than last, but it's just as jammed.
My week will be filled with work, drop offs and pick ups from lacrosse, hockey and sat prep courses. Cooking and cleaning inbetween and if I'm lucky, stopping @ the lav. for a quick pee (see how many of you catch that statement haha) so I don't have an accident.
Love ya's!

Oh, but why am I whining to you? You're the one who lives in Dayton! HAHAHA!!! ;>D
Goodness, Lu, I sure hope that's soon! This gloom is terrible!
John - in case you don't already know this - you're not allowed to leave, even if you don't have MS! LOL
Actually we encourage non-MS folks to stick around and share. We have so many limbolanders pass through and you never know when your circumstance may match up with theirs and you can be of help. And we do get attached to people here pretty quick.
Besides, I happen to like the fishing tales - just ask Rena! So when the Ohio rains stop and it finally warms up we will be expecting plenty from you, too!
Hmm.. So much material here.
Spell check doesn't know complaint from compliant, of course, so we'd still have that problem. Probably would get us free of follow-ips, though. I'm all for it, if MedHelp can get it done somehow.
Gave up shaving long before I developed tremors, IIRC. Just figured I'd already dragged that cold sharp piece of steel across my face enough times for one life. I can see how it would be risky to take it back up, the way things have developed.
My only non-routine task for the week is to find the right way to confront the errant family member of a parishioner. Studying up tonight.
Peace, prayers, blessings, & all that, all.
Baked honey flaxseed bread today (after Avonex day, kinda slow). Lovely day outside; will take a little walk later.
Preparing to pack for trip, need to buy a few more jars of baby food for Fluffy and catsitter, get cash to pay her.
Friday morning I fly to Denver with friend, she'll drive us to Colorado Springs. The weather should be decent there, too.
I will have access to laptop, so will check in with you all from there, probably post picures like I've done on most trips I've taken. :o)
First off, I hope you all don't mind if I keep posting in the MS community, you're all just such friendly people, that I can't seem to let go :). Lulu is right, most everyone seems to be in elevated spirits this week, which makes me smile. This will be the week to remember: of sharp objects, training wheels, and parties, woot!! Use that as a newspaper headline, and I'd be reading it, lol.
Not to much going on for me this week. Meds aren't helping with the pain, in fact it seems to be spreading, no worries however. I got to spend all day Sunday alone with my daughter (she's 5), as my wife's sister is in town, and went out shopping together....... :p . So Sunday was a great day, I love spending the days with just me and her. It would really had been nice if it was warmer out, so we could go down to the pond. Gotta love this wonderful Ohio rain today.
Ok, I think I'm through here. I hope everyone is able to enjoy some outdoors somewhere.
John
Having had hand tremors my whole life I learned to work with them. I used to thread cathers and draw blood on pets. I do delicate embroidery and paint whiskers on my painted animals. Also I was good at pottery and delicate clay sculptures.
One time doing HVAC with three phase electricity my screwdriver touched a live circuit because of my tremor. All I had left was the handle but I was not hurt.
There are something to be said for growing up with all the MS symptoms, you just do not know any better so you adapt.

Rena, we expect lots of pictures of your record catches !!! I know how much you love these fishing trips and hope that the weather and husband are perfect for this get-away.
Wow to everyone else - you all sound a bit perky and upbeat in your notes here. Perhaps the spring weather and longer days of sunlight really are lifting our spirits??
This evening I will probably go out shopping for a birthday present for a friend. That should be fun. I should start looking for something for our granddaughter who will be 5 in a few weeks! Even more fun!
I have an MRI Thursday morning followed by lunch with my co-workers. Since I haven't been able to work it will be nice to see all of them and get caught up. I can look forward to that while I am laying there in the tube.
That is about all that is official this week. Next Friday I see the neuro for the results of the MRI and follow up on how I am doing. I am hoping that my eye will be back to normal and that I can drive again. There is every chance, however that I'm done driving. My opthomologist suggested a few years back that I start seriously thinking about stopping, so this may be the catalyst. We'll see! (ooh, bad pun!)
I hope everyone is enjoying a beautiful spring. That is one benefit of being home - I get to gaze out the window or sit on the deck and enjoy the beauty that is all around me.
Jo
Well, I am going to take FULL ADVANTAGE of my tremor in my right hand/arm!!! I am going fly fishing and can you imagine the action I will be able to put on my fly with a tremor??? ha ha Seriously though I have been having the old symptom of the floor rolling like a wave at sea so the time in the boat should be interesting eh?? Haven't had that one for a while but it is a really creepy feeling!
We are going FISHING, FISHING, FISHING and MORE FISHING and camping and hiking (hopefully) and bear watching and moose watching (hopefully) and the best part...sleeping in the 5th wheel and having my hubby all to myself for two whole weeks!!!
I will be taking my laptop and have a turbo stick so I hope I will be able to check in here and there with you all...if not I will be back the first week of June! Hope everyone is well while I am gone and I will be in touch!
Lots of Hugs,
Rena
And I thought I was bad.... you've got me beat!
Ren
I do know better than to use sharp objects when I have tremors. I cut myself enough even when I don't have tremors. I even took a nick out of the tip of my nose with an electric razorbefore the tremors showed up.
. Now you have to be really bad off to do that :)
Dennis
to Alex: sorry , didn't mean to leave you and G-G out.
Alex: I hope they can schedule your GB surgery soon and that you don't have any more episodes until surgery.
G-G sorry you don't feel up to the bike ride but it looks like you are keeping busy.
Wobbly - Let us know what the neuro says about your movement issues.
Ren
Taking my son to Shriners in Chicago for the day for a follow-ip on his hip condition. It's planned as a day trip. Am hoping my legs hold out.
Should hear from my MS nurse about setting up an appointment with a pain management doctor I chose. Neuro thought it was an "excellent idea" since I am on so many meds between the BP meds, migraines and MS drugs and 7+ drug allergies. I'll share any pearls of wisdom , if any, from the pain doc.
PT on Thursday.
To DB- Happy Anniversary! Sending good wishes and thoughts to you and your mom.
Jess and MeLissa- good job on the exercise front...I'm jealous :-)
LU -Good luck a your cardiac appt.
Dennis - Hope the tremor meds kick in soon for you!
Mike wish you well with your lung issues.
Michelle: I hope you are Mary enjoy another fabulous dinner and presentation tomorrow.
You need some down time. Want to runaway with me? I'm sorry about your leg pain. Sending best wishes and a version of the "rain dance" to rid your body of the pain :-)
I hope you feel better soon!
Everyone else- Have a good week!!
Ren
I meant your heart being compliant , not complaining...My mind is not what it once used to be.
Happy Anniversary DB! Hope your mom is doing ok.
Jess and MeLissa, Proud of you both for taking good care of yourselves...hopefully it will rub off on me.
Lu, glad your heart is being complaint these days, that is great news!
Dennis, I agree with them, drop the sharp objects! Dont want to invite trouble in.
As for me, I am in a day of recovery today. Pushed myself way way too hard this weekend. Too much Baseball games, cookouts, camping, bday parties, and sun. I started dearly paying for it last night. Perhaps this is why my sprained ankle from my fall last week isn't healing?! Cried myself to sleep due to foot/leg pain. I can barely walk today.
Working tomorrow and meeting Mary (two-pack) for a ms sponsored talk and dinner in the evening. I pray I will be ready for tomorrow. Taking it extremely easy today, actually my body leaves me with no choice :(
Sometimes this disease frustrated and angers me way too much.
Michelle
I've got to go for a TB scratch test today and return Wed for results. They want to see if the old lesions on my lungs are from TB, but I don't think so.
Dennis, be careful shaving! Although I don't have bad tremors like you, I am quite uncoordinated at times. A few months ago I sliced my chin with one of those 3 bladed safety razers.
3 nice evenly spaced slices along the left chin. Good thing I don't use a straight razor!
Take care all, Mike
Dennis, put down all sharp objects until the tremor calms down. I think you should go see the docs, but please get your friend to drive you. Make it a day out for the two of you! -L
Well not much planed here foor the week. I had planned to go to the walkin clinic at the VA in order to talk with someone about my breathing as last week when I saw my PC she didn't cover that issue on the list I gave her.
Right now I'm waiying on my tremor medicine to take effect so that I can do anything. I can't shower or shave with this tremor like it is. Especially the shaving part as I would probably cut my throat. :)
Dennis
Big end of year luncheon today with friends at work means too much food to eat.
Thursday is a recheck with the cardio. I expect everything to be fine - seems to be status quo for my heart health these days.
Alex, Julie just had her GB taken out by laproscopy and she was doing great immediately, despite being in a major relapse mode.
be well, Lu
Still waiting to be scheduled for gallbladder surgery.
Alex
I was feeling pretty well this weekend and thought I had overdone it by cleaning the whole house for a little get together we had on Saturday, even caught up on my laudry! But to my surprise I even had enough energy to enjoy myself at the party!
Sunday I was still feeling pretty well and pulled the weeds out of my butterfly garden which I haven't been able to do all spring so I feel pretty accomplished already this week - I think I will take the rest of the week off!
Actually I was going to have my hubby get my bike down and fill the tires so that I could ride around with my three year old this week, that shouldn't poop me out too bad - he can only go so fast with training wheel on right?
Hope everyone is doing well this week!
MeLissa
I've started Operation Change Chubby McChubberson this morning LOL I got up (at 5:30 grrrr! Still waking up super early...even though the baby had me awake for about an hour at 3am) and made the kids/hubby breakfast, then went out for a brisk walk for 30 minutes. I walked 3/4 of a mile.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with my neuro. A follow up from the vertigo and steroids. I'm not sure what to expect from that.
Not much else going on this week. Trying to keep my enthusiasm for the daily walks up. Cleaning, playing with the kids, cooking...lather, rinse, repeat :-)
Hope everyone has a great week!
~Jess
