'Panic Attack' or another possible 'MS Symptom'

Hello,

I posted on here earlier in the week due to a bunch of neurological symptoms I've been having for the past 10-12 years.  Mainly sensory issues (tingling, etc), also feeling of needing to urinate, visual stuff, fatigue, etc.  I also suffer from migraines with aura.

Went to my GP today (after a week or two of an off feeling tight around the throat/hard to breathe sensation) and he listened to my story and has ordered full blood work up and also gave me a ref to a Neuro.  He did the usual tests - and didn't find anything abnormal.  He did suggest my symptoms could be anxiety based - but said he couldn't absolutely rule out something such as MS.

About 3 hours after the Dr visit I had some sort of episode where I felt like I was going to pass out (started to panic about this) and then a warm tingling rush run up over my face, down the back of my neck, down my arms and at the end of my feet. This was both sides of my body.  The immediate panic feeling went after 10 or so minutes and then a tingling sensation stayed in my hands and feet (and mildly over my face) for another hour or two then disappeared.  My thinking wasn't affected - just the sensations.

I was left feeling almost relieved of something (if that makes sense) and quite energetic and happy.  My Husband just read up on TIA's and I am now a bit concerned this may have been some type of Stroke.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this and it being MS related?  The weird thing is that it was across my face, both hands, arms and feet (not one side).

Thanks for any advice you might be able to provide.

Sounds similar to some of my vile "aura" things I get with my "atypical" migraines. Frankly these days I don't know if half the things I have are my MS, my migraines, TIAs or some seizure disorder......either way, they are sure scary! So i know how you feel and how you must be worried..

Thanks for your comments.  Yes, Lulu - he did all the reflexes, eyes, heel up shin, etc (said there wasn't anything that screamed MS to him - however, you can never say never!).  This was more like a 20 - 30 minute episode of something - it was almost like some of the feelings I might get one at a time but all put together (ie. both hands, face, neck & feet 'buzzing').  Will mention to Neuro when I have appointment - I guess another one to put in the 'weird things that happen to me' basket.
Thanks again.

Hi, sorry I didn't see this earlier this week.  What you're describing doesn't sound like MS to me.

Did your GP do a basic neurologic exam?  Tap on reflexes, walk on your toes, and other simple tests?

I'm not sure about the symptoms you are experiencing and I trust you will discuss this with your neurologist.

be well, Lulu

Yes, I sure have.  I just had another episode just yesterday when I went out to the mall by myself.  Even drove myself there, which is almost unheard of.  I have these types of feelings quite often when I get stressed about something or being somewhere.

I also thought of TIA's, but not anymore.

I would ask for an MRI and further testing because it does sound like something is going
on for sure.

It is always better safe then sorry.

Hope you find answers,
take care,
Candy
