Bitemporal Slow Theta Wave Activity on EEG

I m 28 yrs old. Known Hypertensive for 2+ yrs, Vit D3 Deficient, Vit B12 Deficient, Bipolar Disorder for 6+ yrs. I have now been worked up for my Bipolar by my Psychiatrist when i was actually not responding to my Treatment. He finally advised for EEG Which revealed a Slow Theta wave activity Bitemporally. I just wanted your expert opinion wat is it so?

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

The theta wave is a slower wave than the normal alpha wave. Causes of this wave can be drowsiness, medications, aging, etc.

I would recommend that you discuss with your psychiatrist his/her thoughts. If concerning, it may be worthwhile to repeat. If the wave is focal, it may be worthwhile to get neuroimaging of your brain.
