CLUSTERS AND MIRGRAINES

  : I've had mirgraines for years and now I have thoses terrible cluster headaches. I thought mirgraines were bad but the clusters are 100 times worst! You just want to die when they are going on!! They last for months once they get going again.
  : Is there a medicine that I could take that would help both? If not, at least the clusters I would like to have stopped! I've heard that breathing oxygen from a tank helps stops the excruciating pain, is that right?

  You should definatley see a neurologist. I have the same problems and there is medication that you can take like imitrex or wigrane for migranes (migraines). Imitrex comes in tablets and also as a nasal spray. If worse comes to worse ask for acetaminophen
  with codeine for severe tension headaches. No one has to suffer with this kind of pain anymore.

There is definitely a treatment for clusters.
The most important part of treating headaches is to identify the proper type. Some medications such as Imitrex and Zomig may work on both migraine and cluster headches.
Oxygen is one type of tretament used for Clusters but it does not work as well for migraine headaches.
I would strongly suggest that you check with a headache specialist or Neurologist for this puropose.
