Can you determine Sensory Neuropathy with an EMG?

Posted By Susan F. on April 23, 1999 at 09:20:54
I wrote to you before about needle-like pains in my thighs, and you said it sounded like Sensory Neuropathy. I am taking Neurontin, and it helps some.  My neurologist has recommended I have an EMG (I had one about a year ago which showed no permanent nerve damage).  Since then I have had two back operations, but still have the problem with my legs.  Do you think another EMG will tell me anything new and do you think it's worthwhile?
