TREATMENT FOR BABY BRAIN PARALISIS

MY FRIEND HAS A BOY WHO WAS BORN IN 6 DEC. 2000. BECAUSE OF LACK OF OXYDGEN DURING THE BABY'S BIRTH, THE BABY SUFFERS BRAIN PARALISIS. THE MAIN SYMPTOMS ARE SOFT LIMBS,SOFT NECK,HIGH MUSCLE INFLATION RATE."CT" SHOWS DEEPER BRAIN SLOTS THAN NORMAL ONES.
MY QUESTION IS HOW TO TREAT THIS KIND OF CASE IN USA.?AND  WHAT IS THE BEST RESULT AFTER THE BABY HAS GROWN UP? AND SUGGEST THE HOSPITALS IN USA AND GIVE AN ESTIMATED EXPENSE.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend's child, but I'm not quite sure what you mean in your description of his clinical appearance and CT finding.  It sounds like he has cerebral palsy ?? a stroke in his brain due to lack of oxygen during the delivery. And now at 8 months old he is (to use the common and medical term), a floppy baby.  If he indeed has cerebral palsy, then the neurological effects are irreversible, but should not get worse.  But if he has a genetic muscle or nerve disease that lends him to this state of weakness, then there may be treatment for him depending upon the type of disease. Some of the top pediatric hospitals in the country are Children's Hospital in Boston (Harvard), Philadelphia (U Penn),and in CLeveland: Rainbow Babies (Case Western) and of course we have outstanding pediatric neurologists at the Cleveland Clinic.  As for the cost, it all depends on what kind of lab tests or imaging studies the doctors want to order.  If you are paying out of pocket, I would guess that it could get quite expensive.  You might start by writing to
