NEUROLOGY EXPERT FORUM
arthrose = osteoarthritis ?

arthrose = osteoarthritis ?

  Hello,
  I already posted you a query about dizziness-problems and serious sleepdisorders.
  The main problem for me is that in Western Europe we use different terms for certain disturbances and/or disorders.
  I am suffering from arthrose in the cervical region. Now for us arthrose means disks being "worn out" whilst arthritis means "inflammation".
  How can I exactly translate my arthrose problem for future questions ?
  Should I use the name osteoarthritis ?
  Many thanks.
  P.S. I contact you from Belgium

The equivalent term would be " degenerative disc disease " DJD
