popping sensation! and resulting sudden intense throbbing headache

I'm a 56 year old male, who has always been in relatively good health. My blood pressure and pulse tend to be on the low/slow side.
I have a strong libido and am reasonably active sexually. I masturbate frequently if my mate is not available or interested when I am. I am also a viagra user.
Perhaps it's the moon, but I have been walking around aroused for a week.
As a result, I have masturbated almost nightly. (I only use the viagra for a sexual union with my mate...not for solo sex)
Three nites ago while masturbating I felt a 'pop' in the left back of my head and immediately got an intense pain and headache which coninued to throb intensly for about an hour and then remained in the background until morning. I had a slight trace of it the next morning.
The sudden occurrence of it startled and frightened me. The next evening I again masturbated and immediately the headache returned. I could feel the blood pulsating thru my vein/artery with my hand.
The headache appeared again the third evening.
I recently read a reply to another post referring to a 'coital headache', but it associated the headache with orgasm. Mine occurs prior to and as I'm approaching or tryiny to approach orgasm.
I am concerned that it might be a hypertensive hemmorrhage, ruptured aneursym, or vascular malformation, but I know very little about these except they all sound bad.
I understand that coital headaches are common in males and are usually fairly benign, however, I'm concerned about the 'pop' that I felt. Would this sensation be cause for alarm?
