Low back irritated or damaged nerve

dear doctor,
I had a microdiskectomy in 1998 at L4 L5 for a bulging disc.  3 weeks after surgery, i pulled a muscle in my back during physical therapy.  I have had chronic pain ever since.  Burning pain low back-right side radiating down back of leg.  Have had all the tests.  Nothing that doctors can see.  Emg might suggest spinal root irritation.  My question:  can anything be done with stem cells to help heal a nerve?  I read about a man who had chest pains because of a damaged area in his heart.  Doctors took his own stem cells and injected them into damaged area of his heart.  This caused new blood vessels to grow, bringing blood to the damaged area of his heart.  He's doing great.  No chest pain, more active.  Is there any stem cell treatment for irritated or damaged nerves?  Thank-you.

Before any other cause of fibrosis type... And be sure to have a clean nerve trajectory before loosing any hope.
Good surgery can eliminate 99.9% of all cases of nerve suffering, that is my advice to you.
