Sobermommy, so sorry you had such an uncomfortable appointment. I'm glad you're resting and walking (sort of an oxymoron putting those two things together but in this case it fits!).
Laney, so glad to see you finding ways to enjoy your recovery period. My last few weeks off were more like a vacation. I had the best tan I've ever had being off this summer. You go girl!
CherBH, those additional tests aren't a bad thing. At least if you can get copies of them to your 2nd opinion doctor you can avoid that doctor sending you for them again.
Follow-up appt. with gyn/onc... not sure exactly what for though, as I am not scheduling any surgery until after my 2nd. opinon (on the 19th.). We'll probably just discuss things and I do know she wants me to have another CA-125 and TVUS since I have decided to "delay" my surgery... "oy vey"! :)
So as far as appts go for me this week it is my follow up on Friday 14th with the gyn/onc. We are reviewing my path reports and all the usual stuff.
I am still figuring the hormone replacement stuff out and the doc wants me to up my dose of the patch for starters this week, then we might have to change to a different patch. It seems the patch isn't holding me the 3.5 days it is supposed to. So she wants me to change it on day 2...so we will see.
I am still taking the 3 antibiotics for the vaginal cuff infection and still having bleeding.
If that hasn't stopped by Friday, then who knows what will happen...It's always something I tell ya.
My work is wondering when Im coming back, my doc says no way for at least 3 more weeks... YAY DOC!!! lol
I have an eye doc appt on Wed, then all the usual girly stuff. Manicure/pedicure, hair cut. Might start going to tanning, cuz we might go to Florida next week after I get the ok from the doc... (Keep your fingers crossed he ok's it)
That's about it for me so far. I am feeling so much better, not quite 100%, but better.
I had my first follow up appt today after the lap assisted vaginal hystertomy on Oct 29th. I was a bit worried b'cuz I was still bleeding bright new blood...but doc says she is not worried. Stitches are still healing. Gotta tell ya...it was not the most pleasant vaginal exam...but she needed to see the stitches. She says I am a trooper...woohoo. I am just resting...walking and not much else. Trying to get the best results possible.
