subaortic membrane

by anuishma, Aug 19, 2009 01:31PM
My son ,now 14 yrs ,went through an open heart when he was 10 yrs for a congenital VSD that was on the pulmonary-aortic septal wall.It was a direct closure. Now the subaortic membrane seen first in 2001 as a tag of tissue is reaching the full width of aortic valve and causing Aortic regurgitation +1 and a gradient LVOT of 35 m/hg ( similar membrane in 2003 was reported with trivial AR and 36 m/hg).Clinically he has been a normal child with no reported symptoms what so ever, does swimming, cycling like any body else. Please suggest the course of action,we shall be grateful to recieve an answer asap. thank you
