Low MPV and WBC in 11 yr old daughter

My 11 yr old daughter has been bruising easily lately and her pediatrician ran a CBC lab.  The results show low end of normal for both WBC and RBC and flagged low for MPV, although her platelet count was still within range.  Here are her results:

WBC 4.9
RBC 4.33
PLT 280
MPV 6.2

In the past she has had abdominal pain and since we have gastroenterology issues in our family (my sister died of colon cancer at 46), she was tested for Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome, which came back showing Crohn's.  When we followed up with a colonoscopy/endoscopy, the biopsy didn't show Crohn's or anything else (i.e. Celiac).  

She's pretty thin for her age (70 lbs).  

Her pediatrician said not to worry about her CBC results and that they were "normal".  She's only had a CBC ran 2 other times in her life, both of which showed lower end for WBC, but this latest one is the first for showing the other low values.

My instinct as her mother is telling me to pursue this a little further, but I'm at a lost what to ask the Doctor.  My understanding of a low MPV is that it can be a earlier indicator of a bone marrow problem prior to her platelet values even registering low.

If you don't feel comfortable with the results and how your child is being treated, please go for a second opinion. It can't hurt to do that. In my opinion, the levels are fairly normal. They aren't all that low, though they should be watched. You can have her blood tested again a few months to see if the levels change. Good luck.
