My 2 1/2 yr old daughter keeps crying in the night/morning and refuses to go to sleep

I'm in desperate need of help please. I have recently separated from my husband and my 2 1/2 year old daughter keeps crying for 1-2 hours each time in the night and early in the morning asking for my ex. I feel helpless as there is very little I can do to ease the situation/help my daughter sleep well apart from giving her my love and do my best to establish a routine for her (i.e put her to bed at a fixed time)

A few days back she was screaming and crying for about 5 hours in the middle of the night asking for my ex husband. What can I do to make her sleep well. Is there any natural remedy which can induce sleep in babies without any side effects. Play Therapy may not work as she is very young to understand that.

I'm losing the plot here and have no idea what can I do to ease her pain and for both of us to sleep well. Please help me as I'm very very stressed and frustrated.

Keep up the nightly routine. It will take time for her to get used to not having daddy around. Maybe sit and do a bed time story and a slight massage that can help to relax her before bed. That might help. You can also try soft music playing when she goes to sleep. Anything that would be relaxing to help her fall asleep. Good luck with it all. Stay strong.
