Prostate cancer and HPV

I see online that there was some old discussions as to whether the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) might cause Prostate cancer in men much like it has been linked to Cervical cancer in women.  Most of the stuff is six years old or older.  Does anyone know whether there has been any further publications on the subject?

Hi there!

Yes, there has been recent evidence linking HPV to prostate cancer while (as in cervical cancer) a few of the serotypes are more likely to be associated. Current research is based on if vaccination against the serotypes would be beneficial in prevention of prostate cancer.
Hope this information is helpful.

Take care!
