Residual Side Effects after a stroke
My father had a mild stroke in 1998.  He recovered with no problems.  Today he had an episode with slurred speech and couldnt use his arms.  We took him to the emergency room.  They ran tests, blood work and CT scan.  They said he did not have another stroke that it was Residual Side Effects from his stroke in 1998.  I have never heard of this.  Does anyone have an experience with this?

I'm no doctor and have never heard of symptoms occurring years later.  An on-line search produced nothing.  I would find another doctor and ask for an MRI.  Unless someone else answers with an experience like the doctor says that it is.
