Leg Pain

by kunit38, Oct 27, 2009 08:02PM
I broke my left leg (tibia, and fibula) last November of 2008 and I did not have surgery. I am now fully healed and have been playing basketball for about 3 to 5 hours a day for about three times a week for the last months or two. Just last week, my lower leg on the left side right near the area where i broke my fibula, I experienced pain there. It wasn't huge or obvious so I kept playing. i have only played once or twice with the injury but when it got bad, i stopped playing. But when it hurts, its a throbbing pain and im not 100 percent sure if its my muscle like my calf or my bone.
So I have some questions

1. what should i do and how can i treat it
2. is it normal for my leg to be swollen still.. the xrays showed and the doctors told me its ok, and it doesnt hurt unless i get hit, but is it normal for my leg to still hav a small bump?
3. Is there anything I can do (stretches, food, drinks, medicine, pills) to diminish or reduce the swelling and or pain on my leg (tibia, fibula)
