A great book!

I know many of you, like myself, have looked far and wide to have this thyroid stuff explained in a manner that makes sense.  Well, I am reading Jillian Michaels "Master Your Metabolism" and I can't say enough great things about this book. She explains it all in a way that is so understandable. Not just about thyroid hormones but adrenal fatigue and all of the hormones that make up our endocrine system. I highly recommend anyone suffering with thyroid issues, especially those that suffer from weight problems, to get this book. She's not giving you a quick fix to get "get thin." She gets into the actual ways our body works and why we end up the way we are because of imbalances. Instead of reaching for the next supplement, maybe find out why you need it in the first place!

I know this is an older thread, but I wanted to say that I've been reading this book and it is fantastic. Everything she says makes complete sense. I'm going to try her methods starting wednesday (my grocery shopping day) and really try to stick to her plan to see how well it works. I highly recommend this read to anyone with thyroid issues!

Good - glad to see Jillian is on the right side of this.

Thanks. I just asked another member her to start a health resource on our MH Health Pages on Good Reading...
