Although I've never experienced the ups/downs from thyroid issues, I have experienced them short-term after childbirth (esp. when I stopped breastfeeding the hormones were
C r A z Y!!!) .. the weeping for trivial reasons, feeling so sad, etc., etc. So I can relate and just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and will keep ckg the board for the anticipated phonecall .. the waiting is tough ... really toughest part sometimes.

I'm hoping that the pathology was clear - but regardless the crazy thing is GONE!!
Plan on your doctor calling you whether it's good news or bad. Don't let if freak you, just consider it a bonus for the copay. :-)
GET SOME REST!!
I was told that it would take about 4 or 5 days for the pathology report. I hope they will call before my doctors visist. If I dont here back from them I will be calling them Friday and Monday until they have them. I will post here as soon as I here from them. Virleehol
Depression, cold, body aches, dry skin, difficulty sleeping, crying, brain fog . . . welcome to our world. :-)
Wait until "ripping people's heads off for no reason" kicks in.
Bright side is once they can get your RAI over with and your thyroid levels straightened out it will all get much, MUCH better. Hang in there girl!!
Will you find out your pathology results and whether or not they are going to do RAI next week at your appointment??
Hey - it's tough with the pain and your thyroid depression but GET SOME REST so you can recover from surgery.
I though it was strange for me to just start crying for no real reason. Thank you for letting me know Im not going crazy LOL. I Have also so been so cold since I got home This must be another side affect also. Thank you again for your help through this and I hope all of you are doing well also. I see the doctor Tuesday or Wednesday forgot which day LOL will keep you up to date. Virleehol
I didn't have surgery but I had RAI and the emotions that went with going from hyper to hypo. Crying all the time, on a dime, over anything, everything, dumbest and silliest things. So I do relate.
Hang in there, thing do get better. With one mighty powerful little pill ;) the world becomes brighter again :)
Thoughts for speedy recovery.
Thinking of you .. I hope ea. day gets better soon for you .. it's tough right after surgery and the ups and downs that are out of your control right now must be very frustrating.

I'm so sorry. Welcome to the world of thyroid depression. Your body is still adjusting after your surgery and your hormones will be completely whacked out between this and for a few weeks following your RAI. It really blows, I know.
I wouldn't recommend on cutting back on the pain meds right now (unless your doctor recommended it). You are still healing from the surgery and your emotions are going to be a roller coaster for at least a few weeks following the RAI. The body aches and depression from the thyroid removal made my body hurt more so your pain levels might be higher right now too.
Hang in there!!! We're here for you.
