Have you ever had a Red Blood Cell Magnessium level test? Never hear about that here.

I read more about L-tyosine  to find that it can produce heart palps and insomnia , trying to avoid that!

Take my terminology here LM with a grain of salt - but I FLIPPED out each time I tried that amino acid.

It reeved me up terribly and seriously I gave up. If you are depleted in other vits or minerals and use amino acids they counter act.

example - Now with the supplement drink Fatigue to Fantastic all that's in there and I do fine.

Not sure if I'm supposed to do this or not, but the brand of magnesium I take is Solaray -- it's magnesium citrate, capsules -- supposedly formulated for maximum absorption.  Yep, higher priced, but if it works it's worth it, right?

I used to take tablets/caplets (more like horse pills), but didn't seem to get benefit from them.  The capsules seem to do better for me......I do have pernicious anemia, which means I don't absorb B12 well, so I can't help wonder if there's something that prevents me from absorbing other things properly, as well........

If you want more info on the capsules, send me a PM, and I'll actually get the bottles and give you the particulars.........

After years of regular Magnesium oxide, I just decided to try Magnesium citrate  today (that stuff is higher priced!), I'll see how it goes.

I've never seen anything on L--tyrosine here. Good thing about it is not to many companies make it - the ones that do seem to be pretty good and sell only to supplement stores.

I haven't tried it, but let us know if you do try it and it helps..  We can all use all the help we can get.

I find that a couple of doses of magnesium/day does wonders for my muscle/joint aches/pains.

I have a son in law who is a dietician and nutritionist and he swears by it (even for those without thyroid issues).
Personally Moose, I am still on prednisolone and antihistimines for the hives (now weaning down)....got a chest and throat infection and on antibiotics, on a T4 med, Vitamins etc...so any more pills would make me rattle! lol.

Read up on it but be sure to buy from a reputable company as quite a few load them up with fillers.

Let us know how you go :)
