You can only make good conclusions by treating things one at a time. Many of us have learned, read that low body temp is from insufficient hypo treatment, low T3.
As a Hoshi, I've had T3 from cytomel, then NDT since April after ten years of T4 brands that did not work for me. T3 helps me with many symptoms, but body temp is still high 95's to low 97's late night and early morning. Low 98 in afternoon is very, very rare. My free T3 lab is at the upper range limit but free T4 is lower than mid. I have been up to the edge of hyper in the past and still cold, but of course once I cross into hyper from to much T3, I'm hot. No middle, anyone else like this? Keep in mind, I'm a guy too.
Time for plan B.
I took a 24 hr adrenal saliva test last May. It revealed slightly low adreanals in the two mid day readings (1 PM, 4 PM), even though my blood cortisol test from an MD tested in mid of the range (was OK on that test). I did nothing for it.
Just for kicks, I have also tried the "flashlight in the side of the eyes in a mirror in a dark room test" numerous times,(needs a shorter name), my pupils go nuts! That is the 'home' adrenal test.
1)Would like to hear experiences from those that treated their adrenals, and did your body temp go up?
2)Did you try: Isocort, Cortisol, DHEA, Fatigued to Fantastic by Enzymatic, what else? results for body temp?
3)Did you ever get Aldasterone tested? Most likely low if adrenals are low. I hear sea salt is good to treat this?
Since my actual Endo did the blood cortisol test which said I was ok (its just an average), Cortisol from my Endo is not a reality and I probably don't really need Cortisol........ yet. Looking more for Adrenal support maybe, if anything works thats not prescription.
I have learned about Iodine and its effect on temp, would rather not go there yet as I have not had an Iodine loading test. Asked the Endo about that, he almost flipped. I know my adrenals are a little low. One thing at a time.
thanks
