Muscle pain

I have recently been having severe muscle pains. They are usually in my hips and upper thighs. I recently had an ANA test that was not good, but my doctor seems to think it's because of my thyroid. Has anyone had any similar problems and if so what was the prognosis?

No I have not taken any meds for cholesterol. I've only had blood work on my thyroid. I've known about my hypothyroidism for 10 years or so. I take synthroid.

I got to tell you honestly - I suffered alot - Kitty here and I had a duscussion about magnesium and I started it for bloating. Not only has it relieved my bloating issues but the joint /muscle pain and anxiety is almost gone. I was not sure if the magnesuim was the reason - I did some quick research and it is the known to resolve these issues. It was almost immediate - with in 3 to 4 days but I no longer need any meds for anxiety right now and I feel I can move again.

I am now on about 400-500 mg a day. I can't tolerant more b/c is does effect stool - a little.

Your not taking chloesterol medication, are you?
Have you had any tests run on your thyroid?
