Cheryl,
I am really sorry that you are having to go through this. When it rains it pours, but God won't give you more than you can handle. He'll be with you every step of the way. So will we. Any time you need to vent or just talk we're here & you have my e-mail address if you need something too.
God Bless,
Nicki
Your subject line pulled me out of lurk mode!! I just cannot believe what you've just been told. In this case my husband's favorite line is a good attitude to have---"It is what it is". So now, just take a deep breath and know that you'll get through this.
I've been laying low, waiting for the higher dose of synthroid to do it's magic and get me feeling better.
My thoughts are with you.
Linda
Oh, how I wish I could take some of this burden from you. But we are all here for you in spirit and you're in our thoughts & prayers. And while you're on recoup from surgery I'll be sure to stop over with plenty of roasted chicken and my tin foil hat (no mashed or baked potatoes, though :-P)

Daaaaang!!! When it rains, it pours!!!! And you're less than 2 years older than me. I sure hope my body doesn't get as decrepid as yours by the time I'm 48....just kidding...hope I made you smile at least. I wish I had a majic wand and I could just wave your pain away. Sending you lots of e-hugs!!!
Cheryl, I'm so flabberghasted I don't even know what to say. I mean, of course it could be worse, but really, with all that's on your plate it just seems unfair to add this degree of severity on your ankle.
I'm glad you're getting treatment from a top notch doc. And also glad your hubby is being supportive. Sounds like you have a long haul in front of you, but we'll trudge through with you on this one too!
I'm so sorry about this news.
Thanks ... I *think* having had a Cancer diagnosis has taught me alot about life .. yeah, I have shed a tear about all this and I am not processing it yet but have made my Phys Therapy appt and will get the orthotics made ASAP. I'll work on processing it all after my mole biopsy comes back but will go thru the motions to heal myself and my ankle accordingly for now.
My hubby just got home and is VERY supportive thank goodness.
Jenni .. it was 8 mos ago I told my Doc at my well care appt when he found the nodule that I had BAD ANKLE pain and it was pretty much poo poo'd. It went to this degree in only 8 mos!!
Good idea on the mold ..but guess what I cannot walk barefoot bcz the pain is too bad .. so I don't take off my shoes from 6:30 AM until I retire for the night . .the ortho said too bad we couldn't glue the orthotics to my feet LOL.

Hi, Cheryl--
I have been so buried in work that I have not even been lurking at the forum lately. Just now, for the first time in many days, I logged on to see what was new. I cannot tell you how sorry I felt as I read your news. In reply to your question "CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?" I can only say: barely. You have been through SO much already...the latest piece of bad news boggles my mind. I won't even try to say anything comforting. Just know that if you are feeling as if you are being given a lot more than your fair share of bad news and afflictions, you really, truly are.
Sending you an e-hug,
Jenny
I am so sorry!!! Hang in there and take it one day at a time!
My daughter had to wear orthotics and she loved hers.Make sure you save the mold incase you have to have a second pair made. Thats the expensive part if I remember right.....
I'm going to pray that between the orthotics and PT that you will find some relief from the pain.

Oh, Cheryl, I am soooo sorry. My uncle had this from being a walking mailman for umpteen years and I know it is extremely painful. He had to have his fused together. Not a fun option and still painful.
We will pray that they have good news about the moles.
How come Margaritas and not "Daiquiris"? rolflol
Dac
Tahnks My Moonwind Friend .. honestly, if the mole is Melanoma I may need a trip to the islands with long-term Margaritas!
