Update On Armour Thyroid

Have been on Armour for 12 days now and the difference is AMAZING!!  I am no longer moon faced.  I have ears, who knew?  lol

The swelling is gone that I've had for the last 6 years.  My face, stomach--especially upper abdomin--hands and feet are no longer swollen.  My nose actually doesn't look like Carl Malden's anymore!  It is MY nose again.  Can you tell how happy I am about this.

Go Wednesday to have thyroid levels checked and will be interesting to see what is happening so far.  Can guarantee you I will not be going back on Levothyroid again!  Oh, and my hair has stopped falling out so bad.  My skin is also not so blasted dry.

Would not try to shove this down anyone's throat who didn't want it, but I guarantee you I will recommend it to everyone I know.

I would like try Armour.unfortunately it isn't available here. I can get access to T3 and T4 but not combined like it is Armour...

Actually Dac There are 4 T's built in. As you know I have had digestive issues and any meds I put in my belly has caused me trouble. I was advised to start taking it this way - instead of swallowing it - I know stick it between my cheek and gum inside my mouth and let it dissolve. It goes straight into the llod stream and very little needs to process in my belly. SLOWLY my belly symptoms are going away. It's unbelievable tha impact this little adjustment has made.

Armour is all natural thyroid derived from pig thyroid.  It contains both T4 and T3 and is not just T4 that the body has to convert to T3 like the synthetics.  Yes, you can add Cytomel (T3) to any of them.

I've been on Levothyroxine for 6 years now, so I talk about it with lots of experience.  But each person has to choose what they think is best for them.

Hey D! This is what I have been talking to you about.. Armour! I am giving my labs a few tries and then possibly going that route if need be. Yes, you do need a prescription for this drug! I already have Dr lined up for the "just in case"!!!

Is this a natural drug?  Do you need a prescription?  Is this something that should be included in the Health Pages?  

I'm not on any meds yet, but if I need to be, I'd like to be fully aware of alternatives that are available.

Oh, do I agree with that post.  The anxiety is getting better and better.  The paranoia is basically gone.  And all this within less than 2 weeks!  I've lost a total of 18 1/2 lbs now.  The weight is literally just falling off it looks like.

I love having a jaw line again also.  Forgot I had one.  There is just NO comparison to the way the levo made me feel!  I love this stuff!

OMG Dac - I know how you feel. I wouldn't go back to Synthryoid ever. I have been researching alot more on Armour and supplements to even get better results and I must say I have been my own ginny pig throughout these last two weeks.

There is so much information available and I can't believe the difference. I also have no more moon face - someone even at work looking at a photo of me and my family taken at Christmas commented - Gee you lost alot of weight since then. That was yesterday and I started my cycle too!!  I can't believe the difference on how I look......... almost me after 6 years. I have a jaw line again.

I can sit here and feel my rib cage!!  First time again in 6 years I don't have the "dough boy" belly. My basel temp has returned to 98.6-99.0 I was around 96.9 to 97.9 for a long time. and thankfully absolutely no bloating or moodyness.

The positive results are just not noticable on the outside either. Since this new regimen I notice I do not need anxiety meds either. I did however pop a 1/4 tablet of Xanax .50 this morning - I think I did it for "protection" then just riding it out. I havn't needed it for almost a week - but I got some personal stress going on right now since last night and just did it. My energy has returned where it made me smile the whole day yesterday " A REAL SMILE" I was up at 3:30 yesterday and went to bed at 9 last night. Got up again at 3:30 today and looked refreshed. I'm not a walking zombie either - I actually feel like I have a brain again and remember things. Maybe I can start playing trivia pursuit again LOL No headache and so thankfully - NO MORE JOINT PAIN - I have a spring back in my step!!!

I go Wednesday too. I will keep you posted and you do the same. I am so happy and I feel the confidence I will be able to walk into my appointment Wednesday and tell him I feel good. I am not afraid anymore to go and feel like I have to defend myself. I am going to guide him into giving me the additional things I need to get even better!
