Hi Nimrod
I had the same - breast went black, then blue and yellow - it cleared up after two or so weeks.   Surgeon said there wasn't much external bleeding, however this was internal bleeding.   Gave me a fright, but not really a problem, I'm told.

I still have symptoms after TT 26/9/06 - sore throat, swollen throat, difficulty swallowing, tiredness, lack of interest, cramps and muscle twists, itching etc.   Starting to get meds and levels on course, but still not my usual self.  Doesn't help that my partner is tired of me being unwell, which is pretty deflating, but I'm just doing the best I can.

Healing takes time I'm told!!

Hang in there

I'd also like to thank all posters - I haven't found this kind of support site in Australia and it has been extremely helpful.

I'm so sorry.  I hate to say it but I think your surgeon messed something up.  This is usually a very simple surgery and none of the ones I've been personally associated with had ANY of the problems you've mentioned.

I did have a similar problem after an ovarian surgery years ago and the swelling and bruising became so bad I went to the ER and was admitted because of internal bleeding.  Please, please keep an eye on it and go directly to the hospital if it keeps getting worse!

Get well soon!!

Went to see Medical people today as the pain is still severe and the bruising is moving, the swelling is up and they say the bruising is moving down so far as there has been so much bleeding there is no where else for it to go, they have given me a tone more pain killers and told me to rest up - thanks for the support

Forgot to mention - ice REALLY helps with the swelling and bruising.  I had an ice pack I brought home from the hospital but some crushed ice in a freezer bag, wrapped in a towel will really help if put on your incision.

I would defintely call and/or have it checked out ... Mine was bluish/yellow and dipped below the trachea area but not as you describe.   You can call the hospital at the # listed on the discharge papers to get an immediate answer and the call your Dr and/or be seen.

It probably is from the bleeding you described that happened during surgery, but we aren't doctors and important to touch base with yours.

Let us know how you are doing.
