just got a call from my doctor and he said my nodule was cancerous..papillary cancer.  That he took a lymph node out during surgery and it was fine.  Sending me to an ednocrynologist.  He said they took out the cancer so should I not have to worry now?

I'm so glad that you are home and all went well.  My fingers are crossed for a "benign" report on your pathology but we'll help you cope with whatever comes along.

Get lots of rest.  Ice helps the swelling too.

Welcome home. The sore throat and stiff neck takes a few days, but does go away! My scar one week post left lobe removal is looking pretty good, I can see that in time it will barely be noticeable, just follow all of your surgeons wound care advice.

Rest and recouperate! Don't stress the pathology, just let us know what you find out.

God Bless,
Jen

Good morning, I'm new to these boards but did want to say Welcome back home. I'm glad the surgury went well.  When they take your thyroid out or a part of it. How long do you stay in the hospital? Or is this an outpatient thing done at the hospital?  I'm wishing you a speedy recovery! :)

Glad your home and all went well =)

Welcome to the double smile club =)) we are a special group of people !!! You rest up and try not to sneeze! yes your second smile will heal very quickly keep it open and let air get to it.. heals much faster...depends on what part of the US you live in...lol with the deep freeze so many are in.
Well let it air as much as possible .. drink lots of water and my docs says the lumpiness will go away within 6-12 months and wont be able to hardly notice it!  I wear mine proud though I have had mine only 3 weeks .. It is my symbol of life !
Please keep us posted on your results!!! good luck
